Applying Computer-based Technologies and Media to the Solution of Instructional Problems
a) Planning and designing effective learning environments and experiences supported by technology
The project that can be reached at the link below as a whole shows the mastery of this competence. I completed the project for EDCI 56400. It was called "instructional integrated project". This is an online WebQuest aimed at teaching the planets in our solar system to middler schoolers. So far, it is about designing and developing an effective technology-based learning environment. Attached next is the instructional plan done for this project which shows how the author approached the planning phase.

b) Applying technology to facilitate a variety of effective assessment and evaluation strategies
The instructional plan created for EDCI 56400 Instructional Integrated Project above provides insights into this as well since:
The instructional plan created for EDCI 56400 Instructional Integrated Project above provides insights into this as well since:
- It makes use of technology as a tool (i.e., internet) to achieve both evaluation of students and evaluation of the learning experience.
- It also integrates technology as the use of any scientific piece of knowledge in order to solve a learning or performance problem by integrating an attitudinal questionnaire or assessment.
Moreover, the following instructional plan prepared for EDCI 56600 also involves integration of technology in order to encourage a rich variety of assessment and evaluation strategies ranging from MS Excel to discussions.

c) Demonstrating understanding of social, ethical, legal and human issues surrounding the technology and applying it in practice.
The last part of the instructional plan prepared for EDCI 56400 Instructional Integrated Project entitled "Using the instruction for the learners with visual or hearing disabilities and advanced L2 learners is completely dedicated to learners that might need assistive technology or adaptation of the learning activities designed. Specifically speaking, this part is devoted to learners with visual and hearing disabilities and offers the following adaptation of the instruction designed for such learners:
The last part of the instructional plan prepared for EDCI 56400 Instructional Integrated Project entitled "Using the instruction for the learners with visual or hearing disabilities and advanced L2 learners is completely dedicated to learners that might need assistive technology or adaptation of the learning activities designed. Specifically speaking, this part is devoted to learners with visual and hearing disabilities and offers the following adaptation of the instruction designed for such learners:
- Replacing visual information with auditory information for learners with a visual disability.
- Integrating a screen reader computer software such as Jaws for learners with a visual disability.
- Adapting learning activities and assignments to carry a more auditory aspect.
- Changing the content in a way that would speak more to visual presentation for learners with a hearing disability.
- Presenting it as a content-based instruction for second or foreign language learners.
- It is aimed for advanced second or foreign language learners not only because of the English level of the content but also English level of the technological tools to be used such as MS Excel and Google Presenter.
Finally, the online portfolio I created for EDCI 56600 also represents all these based on application of educational hypermedia. Accept for the instructional WIKI below, the other projects can be adapted to serve the needs of different learner groups ranging from K-12 students to high school students. - Instructional WIKI part of the project addresses advanced doctoral students which is a non-traditional and challenging group to design effective instruction for basically due to their already-existing knowledge level.
- The digital story aims at constituting a content-based instruction for historical learning by providing authentic information.
- Scratch Game project is about learning different combinations of colors that can be useful for a diversity of learners including but not limited to K-12 students, and architects.
