b) Describing the relationship between educational technology and the broader field of education
I think my definitions above suffice to connect the field of educational technology to education as a larger field of inquiry. The following definition of mine I came up with at the end of EDCI 67200 also reflects this with a specific emphasis on instructional design aspect of education since instructional problems relate to every field of education:
"Instructional Design is the systematic, iterative process of designing instructional solutions for instructional problems based on instructional diagnosis." (Kadir, Dec. 6, 2011)
c) Critically evaluating theory and practice
Chapter 1 one of my dissertation, I completed as part of EDPS 63000 below, I think represents critical evaluation of theory and practice thoroughly first, and then critically ties it back to existing theory and practice by presenting:
